Every year, the Eastern Technology Council recognizes the extraordinary achievements of an individual, a company, or an institution with the Enterpriser World-Class Talent Award. This year, the high honor will be bestowed upon Leo C. Daiuto, a Corporate Vice President at Unisys and former President of Unisys Systems & Technology.
A 30-year Unisys veteran, Daiuto held a variety of business and engineering management positions. As President of Unisys Systems & Technology from 2005 to 2007, he directed a team of experts within the Unisys 3D Blueprinting approach to deliver strategic hardware, software and services technology initiatives for real-time infrastructure solutions, open source solutions, and Microsoft solutions to Unisys clients worldwide.
He also oversaw the functional areas of product development and technology, supply chain operations, worldwide sales and services, marketing, Nihon Unisys Limited, a joint venture with Mitsui & Co., as well as Unisys advanced chip testing equipment and payment systems operations.
Prior to serving as President, Daiuto served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Operations for Systems & Technology. He was elected a Corporate Vice President by the Board of Directors in 2000.
Throughout his career, he has spearheaded breakthrough technologies for Unisys, including the ClearPath line of large enterprise systems that combines and streamlines multiple mainframe technologies. He also led the effort to develop cellular multiprocessor architecture, which is now the core of the Unisys common platform for both the ClearPath and ES7000 line of enterprise servers.
Daiuto serves as the current Unisys Executive of Interest for Penn State University and is a member of the Penn State Great Valley Advisory Board.
