  • produced demonstration videos for Agilent Technologies showing various scientific techniques. Four videos, two in English and two in Chinese, were shot at once in a working Agilent lab. Allied Pixel used Chinese talent, translated the script and put it on the teleprompter using Chinese characters.
  • sponsored the two-day, 18-film 2009 Media Film Festival. Wages of Spin, directed by Shawn Swords, won the Grand Prize, a $1,500 certificate for rental of camera equipment or any in-house Allied Pixel service. Two honorable mentions were awarded $500 certificates.

  • completed the enrollment of 30 patients in the first phase of its first-in-human clinical trial for the vProtect Luminal Shield, conducted at the Corbic Research Institute in Colombia. The Shield successfully crossed all target lesions and was safely implanted in all 30 patients, with a technical success rate of 100%. The patients had non-calcified lesions in coronary arteries, lesions that would normally be treated with traditional balloon-expandable stents.
