Council Launches New Sales
& Marketing Special Interest Group
Members will be invited to
connect online and in person

SIG

The Eastern Technology Council’s brand new Sales & Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) is getting started through a social networking site. Council members can obtain the online invitation needed to access the site by contacting the site’s administrator, Kim Tuski, at ktuski@EasternTechnologyCouncil.org or 610-975-9430 x4449.

The Sales & Marketing SIG site is a “great place for people to go and collaborate and connect on sales and marketing topics/ideas,” says Tuski. The virtual meeting space has several discussion threads already under way.

The Sales & Marketing SIG also will have a live-and-in-person component: bi-monthly meetings. The group will work to stimulate member competencies through education, dialogue and mentoring, and will connect members through networking, communications and public relations.

Proposed meeting topics include: Social Media Demystified: In-Depth Update on the Current State of Social Media from a Sales and Marketing Prospective, Customer Relation Management: Best Practices for Sales and Marketing Executives and Developing a World Class Sales Team.

Mark Schmukler, Managing Partner of Sagefrog Marketing Group, LLC, is the SIG’s President for Marketing Activity. Guy Yasika, Senior Account Manager at Alteva, is the SIG’s President for Sales Activity. Tuski, Council CEO Dianne Strunk, and Shreekanth Singaraju of Alliance Global Consulting, round out the Steering Committee.
