Golf Outing is September 16

The Medical Device Group begun under the auspices of the Eastern Technology Council is continuing its roster of meetings and events as part of the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT).

Members of the invitation-only group are leaders of medical device, instrumentation and medical diagnostics companies who gather to network and discuss the trends, government initiatives and other topics relevant to their industry.

The annual Medical Device Group Golf Outing, which will be held this year on September 16 at Applebrook Country Club in Malvern, brings these medical technology executives together with senior executives from life sciences companies for a luncheon and an afternoon of golf, followed by a cocktail reception. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The luncheon panel discussion, “Evolution or Revolution? The Changing FDA Environment for Device Regulation,” will feature three top experts:

• Janice Hogan, Managing Partner of Hogan Lovells’ Philadelphia office and Co-Director of the law firm’s FDA/Medical Device practice
• Dr. Daniel Schulz, Senior Vice President, Medical Devices and Combination Products of Greenleaf Health, and former Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at FDA
• Sujat Sukthankar, Ph.D., VP of Implant Technologies, Endo Pharmaceuticals
