Enterprise Award winners exemplify region’s best in technology and life sciences
Slideshow of gala photos attests to a memorable night of celebrating and connecting
The latest edition of the Eastern Technology Council Enterprise Awards was a festive testament to the strength of the region’s business community in a historically challenging year.
Though a sudden cold snap threatened to keep the revelers away, droves of technology and life sciences movers and shakers filled the elegant ballrooms of the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue on December 3.
Their efforts were well rewarded. Throughout the evening, gala attendees took full advantage of the ample networking opportunities to forge connections that will help the region, its companies and employees make 2010 a year of resurgent growth.
The fast-paced evening began with a lavish cocktail reception sponsored by Evolve IP. The awards ceremony — held during a multi-course dinner sponsored by The Garfield Group — brought eight remarkable winners to the stage to accept the coveted Techie trophy from their category sponsors. An “Extending the Network” after-party, sponsored by Internet Capital Group, kept the good times rolling late into the evening.
Council CEO Dianne Strunk hosted the event, while Pennsylvania State Treasurer Rob McCord, a former Council CEO and Board Chair, emceed the glamorous awards ceremony.
“Hosting the Enterprise Awards is a huge undertaking and the Council could not do it without the generosity of our sponsors,” Strunk says. “We are extremely grateful to all of them, and especially to our Title Sponsor, Fairmount Partners, our Tribute Journal Sponsor & Judging Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers.”
