Council Sponsors March 12 Life Sciences CEO Symposium
A March 12 event co-sponsored by the Eastern Technology Council and the Joseph Priestley Society will afford attendees the rare opportunity to hear from several top life sciences executives.
The CEO Symposium, which will be held at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, will feature industry leaders sharing their experiences and insights through a series of questions related to the success of life science companies in this region.
Topics will include:
- What makes Philadelphia attractive for life sciences companies?
- What is the most important factor for your businesses related to your location in Philadelphia?
- How successful are each of your companies in attracting the best and brightest to scientific and management positions?
- How does the global economy — particularly the influence of China and India — impact each of your companies?
- What changes has the recent economic downturn imposed upon your company and the industry?
Attendees also will have the opportunity to ask their own questions of the leaders.
Panelists will include Dr. Robert Broeze, President and CEO, Laureate Pharma, Inc.; Tony DelConte, Chief Medical Officer, Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Fred Fritz, CEO, Neuro Diagnostic Devices; and Glenn Kenney, VP Strategic and Corporate Development, Globus Medical.
Admission is $25 for ETC members and $50 for non-members. The event, which includes registration, a networking reception and lunch, as well as the panel discussion and Q&A, will be held from 11:30 to 3 p.m.
